燕属（Hirundo）在动物分类学上是脊索动物门（Chordata）、脊椎动物亚门（Vertebrata）、鸟纲（Aves）、雀形目（Passeriformes）、燕科（Hirundinidae）的一属。世界有20种，中国有4种，其中以家燕和金腰燕等比较常见。
